I realise it's not at all christmassy but things got crazy and I really wanted to share this blog post, which I started writing back in August (eeek), because, let's face it, Love is... in the air all year round!
Do you remember that cute little comic strip from the 70's by Kim Casali?
Well, Jane & Gary's wedding reminded me of these drawings which I saw as a child and have since learnt were love notes to the author's future husband. Not because Jane & Gary got married naked (they certainly didn't!) but because it was so evident from the little personal touches that they would do anything for eachother - even wear the colours of their rival football football teams!
So here is a quick run through of their special day and my favourite 'Love is...' moments...
Jayne & Gary married at The Warren Estate, Maldon on a glorious summers day surrounded by friends and family. Jayne stunned in a Madeline Haider gown with hair and makeup by Nicola Schuller at Minella weddings and bouquets by Blossom Hill Flowers.
The venue was beautifully styled by the team at Bespoke proposal and with perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony, all was set for the big event.
The formalities were presided over by Jayne's sister who conducted a beautifuly, personal ceremony which was thoughtful, funny and showed us that Love is... knowing what makes those dear to us happy.
Celebrations continued with friends and family, until late into the evening with entertainment provided by the award winning entertainment team at Devoted Events as well as some extra special entertainment in the form of a DJ set by Jayne's brother.
