Preserve your memories: Wedding albums

Updated: 4 days ago

Is 'family heirloom' too strong a phrase for your wedding album? I don't think so!

I don't talk about it enough, but creating wedding albums is absolutely one of my favourite parts of being a wedding photographer.

Having the opportunity to preserve memories and tell a story by putting the very best of my couples' photographs together in a cohesive, visual collection is so completely satisfying.

Fine tuning and cropping images so that they work perfectly together and having clear distinctions between the photographs which work beautifully in colour and those that are just perfect in black & white makes my day.

And 'family heirloom' is exactly the right phrase for these wonderful books. Only this month, I spent a wonderful afternoon with my in-laws as they recalled their own wedding memories on their 50th wedding anniversary. We so enjoyed looking at their wedding album, hearing stories about their day and learning the family history which will be the legacy we pass on to our own children.

It's not just me that loves a wedding album, here's what my lovely clients have to say about theirs:

'We have just been going through the Album together,

it’s just beautiful!'

'The wedding album is so beautiful ...

I still well up when looking through the pictures...

It will always be such a special thing to us.'

Jayne & Adam

'Happy sighs... We love our book so much!!!'

Memories to last for generations to come.
